YouTube Download or YouTubeGet
The Google-owned videos sharing site YouTube is one of the most visited online domains out there, and for good reason. You can watch just about everything on YouTube, from funny to educational videos – no adult content though. Viewing videos on YouTube is a fairly straightforward process: you fire up your browser -> go to YouTube.com -> find a video you want to watch -> watch it.
If you don’t have unlimited access to the web, or if you simply don’t want to visit YouTube every time you want to watch a video, you can download said video to your computer. How do you do that? Why you do what I always do – turn to software and see if there is an application out there that can lend a helping hand.
The HiHiSoft-developed, the aptly named YouTube Download (or YouTubeGet) application can prove to be useful in this situation. This application performs an easy to figure out task: it downloads videos from YouTube and converts them to the format of your choosing.
It is incredibly easy to use YouTube Download (or YouTubeGet). You just paste a video’s URL, select the format you want it converted to, select the location where you would like the video to be saved, then hit “Download” and wait for YouTube Get to do its job. The application will be done in no time at all.
Before you go get YouTube Download (or YouTubeGet) and put it to the test, take a look at the technical bits and pieces presented below:
Download – the download weighs in at 4MB, which means it will take little time to get this application off the web and onto your computer. I don’t know about you, but I don’t particularly like to wait a long time for a download to complete.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, the application provides support for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
Limitations – the trial version converts only 50% of the source file.
